Water rushing up to it's queen,
her body...deep where it cannot be seen
small droplets of all of her pain,
all true emotions left in the rain
my body only becomes...closer to free
just bury my memories far away from me

push me with your wave full of hope...that dies
show me who it is, that can hear my cries.

i can feel its pull wanting to flood me...wanting to feed
so cold, so emotional, yet...into nothing...it leads
deep dark blue, take me away,
show me who is floating, within your waves
your tender parts are dying, and there are so many graves...

the jewels of the queen hidden within my eyes,
and as the king forces her another way...she tries
the birth of your tidal,
how do you let go of this?
...how long can you last within your own abyss?

knowlegde in clouds raining into dust,
fighting to survive the power of trust.
and far away where no one could see,
the worlds collided in spite of the sea...

i pray to its madness,
i pray to its sound,
full of wasted hope,
and forgotten lives...
buried deep within its ground.

never, have i seen the core of my soul,
until the rapid element let go of its pull
and all emotion running through my eyes
so much rain...so many cries

and all is released...and floating so far away
all that i have seen...every word within my pray
and all beauty was,
and all beauty could be...
washed away..in the arms
...of the forgotten sea.

a poem i wrote when i was going through a lot, i was such at a ...numb stage, and all i saw was the sea in my mind...and i wanted to be within it, and wanted to just...let go, i know it is kinda of long, i hope it is appreciated, this is one of my only poems i hold very close.

:blackrose:the picture was taken by: *rain1man he is a wonderful photographer, thank you.

This, right here, is the most amazing poem I have ever read. I really must exaggerate this point, for this poem touches me very deeply. I know you wrote this about you, and connect with it. But I must let you know, that every time I read these words and verses I feel such a strong connection. I almost feel identified, identified by the see. My element is water, and any time I am near the sea or ocean, I feel so free, and just...opened up and exposed. Like I am slowly cut open...I hope I can give you a visual of how I feel. It's like my soul, my emotions, my mind...everything, is split open...for the water to wash through it. To cleanse me. To bring me back to my element. ...wow...tears are actually coming to my eyes as I write this.. I want you to know, my love, that this poem means more to me than you'll know. I almost feel as though it was written for me. The sea is so majestic and mighty...no one can tame it. It has claimed the lives of so many, its almost as though the white waves that crash are the collected souls of it's victims, washing to shore, crawling to shore, trying so hard to reach the shore, almost praying to be reborn, almost to attempt to reclaim life. It's like the tides come in, tempting us to come play, tempting us to come near. So it may claim our lives, to add to it's collection, to keep it's waves crashing, and currents pulling. I really could go on forever. This poem is nothing but a masterpiece, written with true skill. The verses are so well sculpted. So masterful. I love this. Thank you for sharing this, my love, I know it's a very personal piece.

This poem inspires so many latent feelings binded to an eternal relationship with the sea. I'm sure whoever reads it feels that old love bubble up inside and can recall their wanting feelings about the sea, it is cold and boundless and ready to swallow us up at any given moments. Great job Milly! I know you have a unique love affair with water and where better to turn...

It is better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not.
