You turned your back and let go. To betray another, is like betraying oneself. You control your thoughts, you control your actions.
something i storngly admire in this shot i did of Nathan is the top hand and how well you can see the shape of his bone structure. I do know that his bottom hand is a bit blurry around the middle area, but this was my best out of the many i did, and i couldn't bare to hold it from you. I thought up many concepts with this, even one dealing with loving yourself before you love another, but it seemed to fit right in with "betrayal." (because you would betray yourself by loving someone before loving yourself) Hope you enjoy.
!
Such a fantastic and moving shot. I can see this being a daily deviation. I love all the things behind this shot, the pose, the lighting...all the way down to the color. This is a well thought out and meticulously clever shot, oozing with appeal and eye candy.
I enjoyed your thought on the loving yourself first concept. Off of that I see him embracing himself...whereas with other concepts in mind, I see his hand slowly letting go. Something important in this shot is the contrast between the moods of the two hands. One (above) so casually and effortlessly holding the lower hand. The lower hand though seems so desperate and nearly *begging* to be held. It almost seems as though it is slipping anhd stuggling to catch a hold again.
I adore......ADORE the lighting. It is amazing. I love how it falls on his scrawny, bony back. Especially with the sheer shirt....looks very smooth and nice. Great work on that
OH, before I forget...something else that I find important to concept with this piece, is how this is a view from behind. Possibly showing that he has "turned his back" or something like that. I really like that. Oh, also...(lol) I like how the light is so harsh...it's like he's been caught red handed. Like, he is in the spotlight, and it is something he can't deny. Or (in my mind) something like the idea of him keeping it in the back of his mind, but now...it has been brought into the light. Forcing him to face it.
Gah, =Synner666 said just about everything that needs to be said!
The lighting truly is wonderful--and I think this is more than DD-worthy. It's very elegant, very graceful...something about him being turned away from the camera and yet expressing so much emotion through something other than his face is great.
thank you. lol cute thought about being caught idea. but i guess the thought of betrayal comes when all lies have been released, because before it is called betrayal (in my opinoin) it is called a lie, and then when confession comes forth, it is the truth of being or have been "betrayed" o.O thank you for your deep thought, it means so much. and yes, i admire all the different levels of his back you can see and the way it is positioned. def. something i know you can appreciate being the type of artist you are thank you
thank you! i am so very flattered. i know synner said many kind things, but it means a lot hearing others speak their mind. thank you so much i agree on the elegance and graceful thought
!!!!!!! You're sweet I love you! And I do* appreciate those things Your work is so easy to just ...run with. Its so amazing, and full of depth. Great work.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
